Thanks to the dual action truss rod you can adjust the neck minutely. The resonator and rim are made of multi-ply maple and feature a beautiful flamed veneer. It is kept firmly in place by a tone ring made of bell brass, which is a high-quality alloy that is commonly used for wind instruments and church bells due to its excellent tonal properties. The head of this banjo is made by Remo, a company renowned for their excellent drum heads. Like all of Fender's Deluxe models, this instrument sets itself apart thanks to a luxurious finish and top-quality hardware - that in this case includes planetary tuners and a bell-brass tone ring. From that series, this is the Deluxe Concert Tone 58. That is why the new Concert Tone series is such a welcome addition to the Fender family, as its instruments are far less expensive. Unfortunately, the price of original period instruments has soared sky-high. Fender Concert Tone Banjos from the sixties are still highly regarded for their sound and durability.
